Posology and method of administration

- Adults : 6 ~ 10 drops instilled into the affected ear twice daily.

- Properly increase and decrease depends on ages or symptom.

- The solution shoulld be warmed by holding the bottle in the hand for one or two minutes to avoid dizziness which may result from the instillation of a cold solution. The patient should lie with the

affected ear upward, and then the drops should be instilled. This position should be maintained

for about 10 minutes to facilitate penetration of the drops into the ear canal. Repeat

 for the opposite ear.

 

 1) Otitis externa in adult and pediatric patients due to Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas, aeruginosa,

and Staphylococcus aureus.

2) Chromic suppurative otitis media in patients 12 years and older with perforated tympanic

membranes due to Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus.

3) Acute otitis midea in pediatric patients one year and older with tympanostomy tubes due

to Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa Staphylococcus

aureus, and Streptococcus pneumoniae.

4) Safety and efficacy have not been established in children younger than 1 month of age.

 

Contraindications

Quinovid otic solution is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity

 to ofloxacinto other quinolones, or to any of the components in this medication

Special precautions for storage

1) Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children.

2) Do not put them in direct sunlight and keep in a dry place.(Needed air-tight)

3) To prevent misuse and gurantee qulity, do not store in a different container.

4) Store in tight container at room temperature.

5) Use within 1 month after opening.
